Please let me first say Thank You to Everyone that Participants, Volunteers, Donates or gets involved in any way they can with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. It is an Inspiration to see such a Event grow from a small race in Birmingham when it started out in 1991 to the Largest Race in the State of Alabama. It was the will and power of a small group of women who said, “We Will NOT let Cancer beat us, We will win, we will fight this, we will educate, WE Will” was their cry, and did not take NO for an answer!  To walk in their footsteps is an honor.  To hear their stories, is fulfilling, to know that what we do today, can help save the lives of many in the future.

The North Central Alabama Affiliate is a group of mostly Volunteers that share their time and passion towards finding the Cure against Breast Cancer.

I hope that you will be joining us Saturday, October 10, 2009 for the 18th Annual North Central Alabama Susan G. Komen for the Cure 5K.

Please be on the Race Chair’s Honor Roll by helping me raise funds, so that we can help others in their Fight against Breast Cancer.
